I’m proud to endorse Deanne Barth for Lodi City Council, District 3. As mayor, I see firsthand how important it is to have council members who come prepared, understand city finances, and are willing to ask difficult questions.

Deanne brings more than 20 years of experience in finance, administration, and business operations, including 13 years as a Director of Finance. She knows how to analyze budgets, demand accountability, and protect taxpayer dollars.

Preparation matters in this job, and Deanne has done the work. She will bring thoughtful judgment, financial expertise, and a strong commitment to delivering results for Lodi residents. I encourage the voters of District 3 to support Deanne Barth for Lodi City Council.

I was the President & CEO of the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce for 23 years. Over those years I listened to many on the Council preach or teach from the council dais. Many were good; few were excellent. 

Excellence comes from prior life and work experience, real world knowledge, and a depth of understanding. Lodi needs people on the Council with experience and know-how. Lodi NEEDS that experience now.

Of all the “Lodi issues” we’ve read about in the newspaper and other outlets, there are already mounting financial concerns staring at us in the future. We need the smartest, most experienced people we can find. 

My experience tells me we need people steeped in experience now perhaps more than ever. People with a working knowledge of finance and banking, who are familiar with the IT industry as well as construction, because Lodi needs many new businesses which will create jobs and put money in the city coffers. There’s lots of turnover at City Hall, and we must have great council members & business professionals who know how to create success.

I’m excited to find a candidate in DISTRICT 3 who meets criteria—and exceeds it!

Deanne Barth was born & raised in Lodi. She and her husband will soon celebrate 32 years of marriage. After high school, Deanne worked in banking, working to become the Assistant Branch Manager. She left banking to become the Office Manager in her family’s construction business. Later she Joined Verve IT, an Internet Tech Company, where she’s been for 13+ years, contributing to the company’s successful growth. She is now the Director of Finance. 

Deanne and her husband have one beautiful daughter who is in nursing school. 

Deanne has what Lodi needs!

I know Deanne has a very strong desire to make wise decisions regarding how we spend our tax dollars, improve our roads, address homelessness, and create economic opportunities in Lodi. These and many other issues require a tremendous amount of homework and dedication, and Deanne is committed to doing that work.
